World Mental Health Day 2019

Today is World Mental Health Day Oct 10, 2019 Take Care of your Mental Health !
Mental health is a state of psychological well-being and not just the absence of mental illness.
It is important to understand that mental health is something that we all have and it can be improved by taking care of our physical, social, emotional, spiritual, occupational and intellectual needs.
Mental health is a major factor for physical health. When people are mentally healthy they are more likely to be physically healthy.
Mental health problems are caused by a combination of biological vulnerability and environmental factors such as stress.
The Biological vulnerability means that some people are more susceptible to developing mental health problems than others because they have a genetic predisposition or a medical condition.
Environmental factors can include social isolation, poverty or unemployment, trauma or abuse in childhood, chronic stress from long-term financial difficulties or family conflict.
In a study, mental health was found to have an impact on longevity and life expectancy. The study showed that those who were mentally healthy had a higher chance of living longer than those who were not mentally healthy.
