Hi Guest.

A bit about Murphy's Sign.

We test it while We are examining the Patient's abdomen. The sign is Usually positive in Cholecysitis (Inflammation of Gall Bladder.)

How It is Performed:

We ask the Patient to take deep breath and during inspiration, We palpate the subcostal region of abdomen (Upper Right Quadrant of Abdomen), if there's pain (During Inspiration), Murphy's sign is positive.
