World Heart Day 2019

Today is World Heart Day Sept 29, 2019

An introduction to heart health.

The human heart is responsible for pumping blood through the body.

This blood brings oxygen and nutrients to every cell in the body, as well as removes waste products like carbon dioxide.

A healthy heart can pump enough blood to keep the brain, kidneys and other organs functioning properly.

There are many factors that can affect your heart health such as diet, exercise, stress levels and genetics.

If you are experiencing any symptoms of a heart problem you should consult your doctor or cardiologist immediately.

Healthy heart tips :

1. Get moving. Regular physical activity is important for a healthy heart. Make sure to include aerobic exercise, muscle-strengthening activities, and stretching in your routine.

2. Eat a healthy diet. Limit foods high in salt, fat, and sugar, and eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein sources like beans or fish to help lower cholesterol levels and control weight.

3. Take care of your stress levels

4. Quit smoking

5. Drink alcohol only in moderation

Take Care of Your Heart !
